Rail Maintenance Support Robot

The rail maintenance support robot(RMSR) is an unmanned vehicle that transports materials and tools unmanned and autonomously in the rail vehicle depot. It is a robot that can not only transport quickly and accurately, but also support the delivery of maintenance workers. The difference between this device and existing logistics robots is the safety driver, which is a function that pursues safety by differentiating fixed objects and people with deep learning-based recognition.

RMSR autonomously drives with DGPS and MEMS IMU fused navigation based on LTE communication in outdoor spaces, and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) navigation in indoor with prior maps and outdoor spaces without lanes and prior maps.

RMSR can also be driven remotely, and when necessary, they can be operated in standby mode to save energy. This equipment consists of six lidar and six camera sensors, and is an unmanned rail depot maintenance support vehicle that transports materials and tools for light logistics and light maintenance stages on a rail vehicle depot. It also supports the transport and maintenance of logistics, such as having a maintenance manual utilized by a maintenance inspector through the robot's built-in computer and monitor at the maintenance inspection depot.
